It's 2026: Do you know how your kids are doing?
The Parent Pledge, powered by Orlando-based nonprofit Breaking Thru, is a parent-led movement designed to help families start honest conversations and overcome pressures harming youth during back-to-school season.

We recognize and respond to several of the most urgent risks facing young people:
Cyberbullying
-
Nearly 1/5 Central Florida high school students reported being bullied at school or online during the last calendar year
Grooming, Exploitation, Sextortion
-
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received 50,000+ reports of financially motivated sextortion targeting children and teens in 2025, averaging 137 reports per day
Online Gambling
-
More than 1/3 of boys ages 11-17 reported gambling over the past year
-
Nearly half of 17 year-old boys reported gambling over the past year
The Evolving Drug Crisis
-
Drug dealers are using social media and online messaging platforms to sell illicit pills to Central Florida teenagers
Screen Addiction and Sleep Loss
-
Young people with 4+ hours of recreational screen time are twice as likely to report depression or anxiety
-
Nearly 6/10 say they do not get enough rest

The Parent Pledge is here to help parents like you
